One of the many construction sites in booming Beijing, possibly the fastest growing city in the world with growth of 12%. The government frequently sets a "sustainable growth rate" of 8% but it is always higher than this, also despite a bizarre government clampdown on new construction sites to reduce dust storms during the 2008 Olympic Games. Walking around Beijing leaves no wonder as to where the world's metal is going! Summer 2006. It's always good to put a date on Beijing photos!
